Since we’re a small dental office, you’ll soon become familiar with the different members of our team. While they all contribute to Palm Dentistry in a unique and valuable way, each one has the same goal in mind: provide the best service possible for each specific patient. Each one will give you a warm greeting whenever you visit and will completely personalize their approach just for you. The bios below will help you learn more about them before your first visit.
Cathy, Registered Dental Hygienist
Cathy studied dental hygiene at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California, where she was the class president. She’s also served as a California Delegate for the American Dental Hygiene Association National Convention. Today, she has been a part of this field for an amazing 40+ years, with a vast majority of that time spent as part of our team. She has a lifelong passion for helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles!
LAURA, DENTAL HYGIENIST
After graduating from the dental hygiene program at USC, Laura worked at a private practice in the Pacific Palisades for well over a decade. Now, she is an important member of our Palm Dentistry team! When asked what she enjoys most about her job, she shared that it’s forming relationships with patients and helping them attain healthy, beautiful smiles.
Laura and her husband, Matthew, have three beautiful boys: George, Charlie, and Thomas. They also have a Golden Retriever, Dodger. As a family, they love going to the beach – it’s their happy place! Here’s a fun fact about her: she loves a good adrenaline rush.
SHANELLE, REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT
Shanelle is actually from Safety Harbor, Florida! In the eight years following her studies at the American Career College, she’s offered clinical help at events that serve the homeless, been active with professional organizations like the American Dental Association, worked for an orthodontic appliance company (where she offered clinical training), and much more. Since joining our team, her favorite part of her job has been seeing each patient’s reaction to their new smile.
Outside of dentistry, Shanelle has several interests, including doing permanent makeup, working out, hanging out with her friends, journaling, and spending time with her two cats, Misty and Storm. Here’s a fun fact about her: she loves to study languages!
NONIE, FRONT DESK
Nonie entered the world of dentistry in 2018. Over the years, she has undergone training in everything from dental insurance to presenting treatment plans, and she couldn’t be more happy to now be helping our patients at Palm Dentistry! When asked what she loves most about her job, she shared that it’s how caring the doctors and staff are.
Nonie is married, and she has one daughter, two stepsons, one grandson, and three dogs. When she has free time outside the office, she enjoys boating, riding bikes, and building things out of wood. She even has her own tools, including a Miter saw!
